Trade Facilitation and Customs

West Blue offers a range of sophisticated products and services designed to build capacity and introduce best practices in the administration of international trade. We understand the challenges faced by emerging economies in today’s global marketplace. Informed by international standards and lessons learned, we design and implement tailored, practical solutions to confront a breadth of challenges faced by public sector organizations and the trade community that relies on them.

We work closely with the World Customs Organization (WCO), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and other international and regional agreements to provide a sound foundation for the streamlining of customs processes. Our programs incorporate the international standards set by the WCO (e.g. the SAFE FoS and the Revised Kyoto Convention).

Building on this customs and trade modernizing experience, our experts are acknowledged leaders in developing trade facilitation solutions. We are members of the UN-CEFACT’s Technical Working Group for Trade Facilitation, which formulates and promulgates the international standards for implementing the Single Window. We work closely with the WCO to ensure alignment with their recommendations and models. We also play a leading role in the Africa Alliance for e-Commerce. We use this background and understanding to ensure that our client’s model is the leader in the regional and international integration efforts.
